Welcome to my blog which is dedicated to highlighting methods and ideas to relieve pain and symptoms, prevent disease and achieve optimal health, function and wellness without drugs or surgery.

On the average, we as a nation have taken our health for granted. On the whole we have eaten poorly, failed to exercise regularly and “popped a pill” for everything from back pain to indigestion. The World Health Organization has ranked the United States health system in 37th place behind countries such as Morocco, Chile and Costa Rica while we spend significantly more per capita on health than any other country.

Does this mean that everything about our current medical system is wrong? Absolutely not. What, to me, it would appear to indicate is that more money, more technology, more drugs and more surgery are not the answer to improving our overall health. We need to get back to some common sense lifestyle changes and approaches to health care. We need to look at how our bodies are designed to function and how to care for them along the way before we develop many of the numerous disease processes that plague us. And, if we have developed one of the many chronic degenerative health conditions that are on the rise, such as Type II diabetes, heart disease and cancer, we need to look at how to work with the body to promote healing and improve function.

Chiropractic is the largest licensed natural healing profession in North America. If I am addressing back pain, sciatica, headaches, blood sugar handling, fatigue, digestion or any other health issue is my goal to find ways to work with the body to help improve its function, decrease symptoms and promote long-term health and vitality.
